Ellen and Walter, a couple, witness Terry, a neighbor's teen, skulking around their neighbor Gina's house. They confront Terry, who tries to sneak out and steals a brown paper bag. Ellen and Walter catch Terry, who drops the bag and runs away. They promise to teach Gina a lesson. Gina, shocked, confronts Ellen and Walter, warning her to stop interfering and endangering the community. She pleads not to tell her parents, but Walter and Ellen agree, requiring a punishment.
