A Score To Settle, Scene #01
Lily (Kitana Lure) enters her house through the front door and marches purposefully up the driveway. She can't help but think back to yesterday's tense exchange between Lily and her husband Simon (Dean Van Damme) as she strolls. These little bits of information demonstrate that Simon cheated on Lily by using his secretary. Lily isn't convinced, despite Simon's seeming remorse and his pledge to start anew...When she finally locates Simon, he is seated, and she stands triumphantly and vengefully over him. Lily said that she stayed up all night turning over and tossing because she was SICK over what he admitted yesterday. However, she's almost ready to let him go. She draws attention to the fact that he was afraid to reveal to her the number of times he had cheated on her; fortunately for her, Simon had confessed that he had been having an affair with his secretary on all of his 'business trips'. So, in her sleepless state last night, Lily looked at their shared calendar and tallied all of his "business trips" for the previous year. She calculated how many times he must have cheated on her based on that. She then came up with a plan to set things right: one HERS infidelity for every HIS. That seems only just. Simon begs her to think again, seeming astonished and perplexed and claiming that doing so will only force her to descend to HIS level. He suggests that there is another way for them to resolve this without her taking retaliation. However, Lily chuckles bitterly and asks, "Where do you think I just came BACK from?
