Shared Experience, Scene #01

After entering the living room, Bridgette B takes a seat next to Kenzie Reeves on the couch. She's playing loud music on her headphones, so Kenzie can't hear her when she attempts to talk to her. Kenzie becomes alarmed and asks her what in the world she wants as Bridgette takes them off and greets her in a mocking manner. She just needs some privacy since she feels overburdened. Kenzie is furious and begs her to calm down, but Bridgette is impatient. She is not entitled to give her instructions. For heaven's sake, Bridgette isn't even her biological mother! When Bridgette tries to soothe her, Kenzie lets her have it, telling her that she's anxious about school and trying to figure out who she is. She storms out of the room because she is so irate. After following her upstairs, Bridgette queries her about her anger. Kenzie is incredibly perplexed and unsure on how to come out as queer. After she blurts it out, Bridgette tells her that it's okay and that she has really gone through similar things herself. She confides in Kenzie that throughout her time in college, she experimented a great deal and discovered that she liked women just as much as males. Bridgette tells Kenzie that liking girls is totally acceptable and asks if her feelings are normal. Indeed, why doesn't she demonstrate to her how typical that is? As Bridgette tries to plant a kiss, Kenzie intervenes and inquires as to what she believes she is doing. However, Bridgette never gives up, and after persuading Kenzie to show her around, Kenzie eventually lets go and embarks on her first lesbian adventure.
