Close Enough To The Real Thing, Scene #01
A happy married couple named Faith (Alex Coal) and Ryan (Isiah Maxwell) talk about how pleased they are to be trying to get pregnant. They talk about possible names for their unborn child, initially jokingly coming up with ridiculous ideas. But then Faith receives a book of names as a present from Ryan, and she is moved by the kind act. He tells her that she will be an incredible parent when she asks if he thinks she'll make a decent parent. In addition, he assures her that he will be by her side throughout anything, so they can handle anything together. CUT TO a few weeks afterwards. When it becomes apparent that Ryan has passed away, Faith is overcome with sadness. Ryan's brother Chris texts her, but she doesn't reply. When Faith locates the book of names, she reads the words "If anyone can do it, you can!" written by Ryan in the front of the book. "Let's get it done," said Ryan. Recalling the text she received from Chris, she gets an idea and texts him to see if she can visit. When Faith visits Chris later that day, it becomes clear that Chris (Isiah Maxwell) is Ryan's twin. CUT TO TITLE: Faith states that she is seeing Chris because she wants him to carry a child into her body that Ryan was never able to. Chris is, after all, the closest thing Faith has to Ryan's genetic makeup. Chris notes that he and Ryan are not the same person and expresses his shock at the proposal. But Faith is going to stop at nothing to fulfill her late husband's final desire. Is she able to persuade Chris to carry out her plan?
