As Gracie Jane prepares for her wedding to Andre Stone, she exudes beauty. Then, Gracie's best friend King Noire, who doubles as a "maid of honor" and is her "man of honor," walks into the room and remarks on how beautiful Gracie looks. King seemed unusually anxious and twitchy, despite not being the one getting married. Gracie asks what's going on since she's worried and intrigued. King responds, "I have a confession: I think Gracie is misbehaving. " Gracie asks what he means by it, looking surprised and a little angry. King inhales deeply and acknowledges that he has become fond of Gracie, so he hopes she will reconsider marrying Andre. Gracie acknowledges that perhaps things would have turned out differently if she had known this earlier and is taken aback and confused by his admission. She acknowledges that she has always been drawn to King, but she chose not to speak up since she didn't know if he would be amenable to a transgender relationship and didn't want to jeopardize their friendship. But King's timing couldn't be worse—she's about to marry Andre! King insists that the timing is PERFECT, seeing his opportunity. This is their chance to see whether there could be more between them as Gracie isn't married yet.
