Love, Set, Match, Scene #01
Wearing an adorable tennis gear, Brittney Kade shows up at a private tennis court. She takes out her racket from her bag and uses it to warm up for a match by stretching. Brittney appears to be an experienced professional, but her lack of knowledge is evident. Before Lauren Phillips shows up and surprises her, she makes a couple attempts to hit the ball. Lauren feels quite confident as she walks toward her date, and she is also wearing a nice tennis attire. The first blind date activity for the two women, who met online, is to play tennis. They embrace, and it's obvious that even though Lauren seems confident, she's still a little nervous about what's going to happen! Playing their game from opposite sides of the net, the two women try to make an impression on one another. It becomes clear from their play how much they enjoy each other and how poor their tennis skills are. Ultimately, Lauren makes a mistake and has to concede that her option might not have been the ideal one because they are both obviously uncomfortable. The two women share a very genuine moment of laughter before the tension explodes and Brittney proposes they go inside and spend more time getting to know each other as their true selves.
