Enjoy Your Stay, Scene #01
In honor of their second anniversary, Beth (Nicole Doshi) and her husband Frank arrive at a ranch lodge. Their relationship has been going through a "rough patch," so spending time together at a stunning resort seems like exactly what they need to get over. But when Beth and Frank notice that nobody else—not even the employees—seems to be at the resort, they are confused. They decide to divide up and go about to see if they can locate anyone. Beth and Frank are looking around the yard when they discover that someone appears to be observing them from the bushes. Soon after, Beth and Frank meet up again in the main resort building, both of them complaining that they haven't been able to locate anyone. Frank believes they might as well spend the night, despite Beth's reservations. Once they're settled in, they're shocked to see someone else for the first time. Along with introducing himself as Tommy (Tommy Pistol), the man also introduces Olivia, his wife. Tommy and Olivia claim they pushed the car here in search of assistance after experiencing automotive difficulty but were unsuccessful. It's a relief for Beth and Frank to see another couple here. Frank goes with Olivia to show him where the automobile is after she offers to assist with restoring it. Tommy and Beth decide to wait behind and catch up, but eventually they start to wonder why Frank and Olivia are taking so long. They take off to look around. Beth follows Tommy to his car, but they notice clues that Frank and Olivia are having sex in it from a distance. After Tommy and Beth are taken aback, Beth feels hurt and enraged. She rushes back inside the chamber. Tommy comes That was obviously a falsehood. Tommy expresses sympathy and sadness as he says he wishes there was a way to help Olivia and Frank feel how THEY do at this moment. Beth begins to see how they can accomplish that, but is it really appropriate for them to do so in this odd place? What's actually happening in this area?
